Objectives: Analysing the different ways memory can be passed on. Giving tips on analysing images.
Materials: Paintings by Jean-Jacques Morvan (contemporary artist) and photographs from the deportation that inspired him.
Workflow: In small groups, the students analyse either a painting by the artist or a photograph. Next, they present their analysis to the other students, always comparing and contrasting the painting and the corresponding photograph.
IMPORTANT: For this workshop, the students need something to write with.
Time: 1.5 hours
Level: Lower secondary school.
